What to Do Outside Vancouver

Hiking

Vancouver is renowned for it's hikes. There are so many options and you can't go wrong.

The Grouse Grind is one of the more well-known ones and can be done relatively quickly. Deep Cove has some relatively easier hikes, and the trailhead is a cute little town reachable by bus (you MUST get donuts from Honey's if you go here)

For some longer hikes on a weekend day, try the Chief, Garibaldi Lake, or St. Mark's Summit.

Sea to Sky Gondola

Take a shuttle or bus to the Sea to Sky Gondola (or hike up) for some breathtaking views of Howe Sound. The restaurant at the top actually has decent food too!

Skiing

Skiing at Whistler is unbeatable, but can be rather pricey. For some cheaper options, try Cypress Mountain or Seymour Mountain

Richmond Night Market

In the summer on weekends, visit the Richmond Night Market, which is a super fun Asian market with lots of crazy experimental foods and some fun activities and shopping!
